Style Notes: 3 Not So Winter Festive Looks By Marya Javaid

“I was looking for clothes that I could wear formally; not that I am invited to many weddings or that I am complaining about it, but because in the likelihood of an unavoidable social obligation, I wanted to have clothes that didn’t necessarily embarrass my mother"
Marya Javed of NO.FOMO visited the GENERATION store in Islamabad recently to pick some winter clothes. Read on to know what is picked and why! I am a believer of multi-purpose clothes; clothes I can dress up or down, depending on mood and nature of event.

RANGEENIYAAN

Marya is in Japanese Dounuki 2-PC for Rs.5,839/- on sale in stores and online.
The first outfit I picked was this gorgeous red frock! It comes with a bright orange self patterned dupatta and has a wonderful intricately embroidered neckline with a printed base. Super comfy and rangeen.

Also you could wear red lipstick and some golden jhumkas to upgrade it to the festivities, actually dholki ready and I would wear it to a wedding too! (Even my own!)

A Hint of Drama

Festive season is the best time to experiment with colours. I’d prefer coloured kurtas. This look was another favorite, mixing and matching to get that drama.Which also means in return that I can wear them all separately and turn it into three different outfits too. I am a huge believer of economies of scale! I picked a lush mustard velver kurta with some intricate Mughal prints on neckline to add that oomph factor.
Marya is in the kurta from the Shahi Swag Collection.
Donned the look with a solid green shalwar (full mehndi vibes) and a black embroidered shawl!

The Not-so-Festive side

Marya is in Zargul Collection, in stores and online
For my third look, I picked this gorgeous purple pishwas/dress, adorned with some gold hand block printing details. To make it festive- acceptable, i paired the frock with gold Mushk pants(To pair all your looks with are Separates. Shop here.) , some jhumkas and completed my look with plain khussas.

Here's my Final look. TAdahh!
