#Sohni Shadi and you’re invited!

For Generation’s winter campaign, our #Sohni couple, Soha and Nihal throw the wedding of the century! Courtesy a beautiful December afternoon, the family home along with the aforesaid family, and all their trash! You heard us right, all their T-R-A-S-H! Yes! a zero waste wedding where all the decorations were diligently made out of the materials picked from the family (and friends) waste bin. The Chador fashioned out of cousin Ali’s cd collection, hanging baubles made with bottles donated by Kiran apa, (god bless her obsession with mineral water!)Cushions made out of outgrown baby clothes of little Aziza and Kabir and a swanky ‘شادی مبارک’ backdrop made from mummy Shahnaz’s old sofa cloth! Really mom? That’s ALOT of red for the drawing room! It was intimate, it was personal and it was so much fun to put together, Soha and Nihal bid their singledom adieu WITHOUT much hoopla and yet managed to make memories the whole wedding party will continue cherish for a lifetime. The campaign takes cue from Generation’s updated design philosophy focusing on sustainability of the garment itself, for long term use and reuse of its wear, every piece can be dressed up or down and accessorised to suit multiple occasions, with classic design elements that never go out of style. The clothes are made so they maintain their beauty and effervescence so they could even be reworn on the couple’s own children’s weddings. Timeless velvets, crisp dupion, cottons and silks alike, draped in silhouettes that have stood the test of time, kurtas, kalidars, anarkalis, shalwars and ghararas accompanied with an extensive collection of meticulously designed shawls and dupattas equipped with the ability to instantaneously upgrade the look of the entire outfit.
