For almost ten years the Daachi Foundation - a non-profit organization set up to promote the arts and crafts of Pakistan, has been having a biannual fair in Lahore. For craft lovers like ourselves, it is like being a kid in a candy store. This year again artisan’s have brought forth some of their best work at Daachi and we can’t get enough. But guess what? Someone special accompanied us to the art and craft galore. Hyderabadi choorian Hand glazed bangles from Hyderabad are a must-have if you’re a fan of keeping your chittiyan or not-so-chittiyan kaliyaan decorated!  What makes the stall special? The unique, colourful designs are not available in your regular Anarkali bazaars, Jinnah Market or Gulf Centres, so stock them up!  Where can we find them? Aliya B Spa Shop We’ve suddenly found ourselves leaning heavily towards natural skincare and if you share our passion, you’ll love this stall. A family owned brand of all natural skin and hair care products passionately hand made in Pakistan, Aliya B is your Spa at home.  What makes the stall special? You can ‘smell’ the stall even before you spot it; it was THAT aromatic! Where can we find them? The idea itself is impressive and the designs were like a rainbow of colours that you could spot from afar!  Where can we find them? Inbox them on their Facebook Page Mosaics by Amna Aslam Mosaic is clearly not going anywhere anytime soon. Amna Aslam creates unique mosaic designs for tables, trays, bowls, jewellery boxes, ceramic plates and much more. Her pieces will make your living space go from drab to fab in no time.  What makes the stall special? Intricate craftsmanship and a plethora of colours beautifully juxtaposed against each other. They make unique, hand-worked pieces with minimal or no reparation using pure fabrics.  What makes the stall special? The super cute merchandizing and intricate chikankari had our heart. Here’s their number: 0300 8450993 Rehana Collection Centre We never thought we’d be drooling over beads work from Multan, but it was so intricate that we couldn’t resist.  What makes the stall special? Hand carved, camel bone decoration pieces, jewellery, and other crafts are always a hit at the Daachi Festival.  What makes the stall special? The range of merchandize ranging from envelopes, notebooks, wrapping papers and what not!  Where can we find them? Website: multancraftbazaar.com Behbud Stall This is probably one of our favourite stalls, not only because it beholds gorgeous apparel, but because it is art for a cause. Behbud is a welfare organization providing vocational training to women and then getting products made from them.  What makes the stall special? White shalwars and intricate hand cross stitch! Parwana Paper PARWANA is a sub-brand of HIMA^Verte, a company that undertakes environmentally and socially sensitive commercial activity and they produce stunning handmade paper.  What makes the stall special? The range of merchandize ranging from envelopes, notebooks, wrapping papers and what not!  Where can we find them? Their products are available at their Gulberg office-6A L, Gulberg II -during the work week. They can also be found at Paper Clip and the Tango Gift Store in Model Town, You can also shop online here and here. Jooti Shooti Hand-painted leather footwear anyone? Well, we’re huge fans, especially after they’ve started shipping across Pakistan and internationally.  What makes the stall special? Androgynous khussas, converse hybrid khussas, and their quirky designs.  Where can we find them? They can be contacted through their Facebook account. Silver Jewellery From Bahwalpur This is one of the MOST popular stalls at Daachi featuring pure silver jewellery from Bahawalpur. But we found it a bit lakcing this year. We’ve surely seen killer designs at previous exhibitions.  What makes the stall special? We’re talking about the ethnic, glitzy jewellery from Bahaalpur. What’s not to like!  Where can we find them? You can find M.Khokar &Sons on Khokar Street, near Jamia masjid Al-Sadiq in Bahawalpur. Hala Kaashi Training Centre Don’t we love it when a little bit of another province makes way to yours? The famous clay pots with clay painted motifs from Hala are a regular at Daachi exhibitions.  What makes the stall special? The sheer range of merchandize: envelopes, notebooks, wrapping papers and what not!  Where can we find them?
